Crew Decks are here!
Now that the shop is closed, we're shifting our focus to the Hillbilly Bombshell SkateCrew. First order of business is our crew decks. Check them out below. We'll have online ordering available next week. If you can't wait that long send an email to info@hillbillybombshell.com and we'll get one to you!
From an original idea by Nate(SkateCrew General), the Alfred Hitchcock deck was designed by Jolly Roger Skateboards/Guano Wheels and represents Nate's fascination and respect for the greatest film director that ever lived. Deck Sizes are 7.5, 7.75 and 8.0. We sold 15 the first two days we got them in so YES, they are actually going fast.

Greenville IL Skatepark is expanding!
Hubba ledges have been added, a nice curb, a little 4 set of stairs and there is more flatground than before. Hopefully a flat rail will make its way into there as well..

The KHVT Crew will be bringing lights to set up for a killer night session under the bridge tomorrow night. Go skate (try and film too) and have a blast! Go to the intersection of Southwest and Kingshighway and look for the bridge next to the car dealership...It's under that bridge.

Magic8 Designs and Big Black Lies Art Exhibit: 3.27.10
The next art show has been announced. It's a touring exhibit from Kansas City, MO by artist Magic8, Eddy English and Lies. We'll be broadcasting live over the internet while exclusive pieces are created inside the skateshop's Gallery the night before the opening. Also our good friend DJ Mahf will be spinning during the reception on 3.27.10

Our next art opening will be Saturday, December 19th at 7pm for FREE.
Belleville, IL's own Centric Studios has re-styled the gallery for the 2nd art opening in the skateboard shop. Centric Studios are our graphic artists for our logo's and art (aka Jolly Roger: the re-emergence of the original Circus Skates founded by Keith Whetstone in 2001). 7ft tall screen printed pieces are in the hallway and the backroom is going through a transformation of its own. Multi-layered cardboard pieces that have been printed and painted on again and again overlap to form an incredibly eye-catching display. They're still working hard on putting the finishing touches in the rest of the gallery. Mascoutah's Walter Conkrete will also be in the shop making live improvised beats to listen to over the shop speakers. The opening is Saturday, December 19th, 2009 7pm to 10pm. And sure you could miss the opening and see the art later, but Hillbilly Bombshell Art Openings always have refreshments and live music for FREE. In other words, we'll see you there!

Ok so we took a minute getting this up but THANK YOU for coming out to HAPPENSTANCE. It was our very first art show in the skateshop and the turnout was better than the Grand Opening of the shop itself! Not to mention the fact that some people had such a good time they stayed until midnight...We're having the next ART SHOW in December and we're very excited to have close friends of ours www.centricpropaganda.com as our next special guests on display in the Gallery. In case you hadn't heard, we've moved to 309 N. Illinois St. Belleville, IL 62220. Our new location for the skateboard shop is just a few blocks from the skateboard park and is expanded with an Art Gallery that will include rotating paintings, drawings, installations and more. We've marked down boards from BAKER, GIRL, BLACK LABEL, ANTI-HERO, BIRDHOUSE and more to $45 today in the shop. We just sold a few today so if you want one (or even two) you may want to get off your computer and get to the shop! Also new stuff is on the way and more vinyl has been added to the record bins to please those vinyl-crazed college kids.

We're now selling the first ever copies of St. Louis Rapper/Musician: JONATHAN TOTH FROM HOTH's NEW CD 'Sick Boys'. It's an album completely devoted to the culture of skateboarding (hence the name...do your homework kids!). And with every 'Sick Boys' album purchased you'll receive a FREE copy of the 'Sick Boys' Skateboarding DVD as well as a free poster from J-Toth's Record Label FROZEN FOOD SECTION

Hillbilly Bombshell Mini-Ramp Contest, Music Fest and Benefit Tomorrow!
We're sponsoring a mini ramp contest at the Hip Hoppers Holiday tomorrow in St. Louis at the awesome Atomic Cowboy venue. It's an all ages event and music festival benefit that helps feed homeless children. Please come out and have a good time for a great cause!

Hillbilly Bombshell Contest  and Skatepark Grand Opening Tomorrow!
Tomorrow, 8-15-09 is the first contest at our brand new FREE concrete skatepark in Greenville, IL. 15 skaters have signed up so far and they've all been practicing their runs around the park for a few weeks now. Tomorrow is also the GRAND OPENING of the skatepark and trust us, their will be PLENTY to do. Here's the skinny on the main event:

All day to 3pm: Skateboard Contest Warmup (hope you've been doing your push ups)

Skateboard Contest: 4pm

Greenville Skateboard Park Grand Opening Ceremony and Ribbon Cutting: 5:30pm

After the ribbon cutting will be even more activities to get involved with such as:

Dunk Tank
Flag Football
Frisbee
3 on 3 Basketball
BBQ and other foods
$1.00 Entry with Re-Entry at the Swimming Pool good all day and all night!

Transworld Magazine's "RIGHT FOOT FORWARD" Premiers 8-8-09:
We're premiering RIGHT FOOT FORWARD Saturday, August 8th at the Greenville Swimming Pool at 9:00pm. $2 bucks gets ya in to watch the one of the best new skate video's out while you float in the pool! The pool will also stay open later than usual if you want to swim after the video.  Ps. We're having our first contest down at the skatepark on Saturday, August 15th. Details soon.

Greenville, IL Skateboard Park is completed
Man come on, you know we're always celebrating something at Hillbilly Bombshell skateboard shop out here in the paradise that is Greenville, IL! Right? Yeah, now that the skateboard park is done, we're ready to rip it up and spend long hot summer days skating, then take dips in the pool that's located right next to the park. Live in the shop today is June 16th jamming out allllllll day long with his signature style of live production science-fiction-style beats to celebrate the opening of the skatepark.
